HOW TO GET TO SIARGAO?
BY PLANE: Daily direct flights from MANILA or CEBU – Sunlight Air is our official carrier and offers 20% discount for BFIT participants, once you have registered, BFIT Secretariat shall email you the discount code.
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific also have frequent, and daily direct flights as an alternative.
BY BOAT: From Surigao City Port, There are 2 fastcraft schedules, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. COST: P300 to P500 depending on the seating class on board.
where are the SUMMIT LOCATIONS?
A. DAY 1, OCT 5 LOCATION is the municipality of DEL CARMEN Address: Del Carmen Convention Center, VX9C+M2J, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte
a. If you are arriving on OCT 4, please get accommodations in General Luna. You will need to take van transportation from General Luna (GL) to the Del Carmen Convention Center. Please leave GL around 7:15 to 7:30am to arrive at 8:00 to 8:30 am in time for registration. Trip will take 40 mins by land transportation. Cost is around P300 one way.
b. If you are arriving on OCT 5, please take a very early flight to Siargao and go directly to the summit from the airport. You will arrive at SAYAK AIRPORT DEL CARMEN which is around 15 minutes from the Del Carmen Convention center. Go directly to the location by tricycle available at the airport. Deposit your baggage at the baggage counter when you get to location. Cost is around P50 to the location.
B. DAY 2, Oct 6, 2020 location is the General Luna, Gym near the GL Municipal Office.
a. You can take a van, tricycle, or tuktuk to the event area. Just ask the locals where it is at it does not show up online.
WHAT TO WEAR?
The island will be HOT! The event venues will be HOT (No A/C)! So true to the name of the event, we expect to see you barefoot and in your best resort / beach wear! See photo references below:
Suggested attire:
Ladies: Tank tops, shorts, beach wear, light comfortable, coveralls, slippers, flipflops, sandals
Gentlemen: Light t-shirts, sandos, board shorts, slippers, flipflops, sandals
WHAT TO BRING TO THE EVENT?
a. Refillable water bottles or cold drinks
b. Some cash to purchase items available at the event
c. Paper towels/ tissue paper for personal use
d. Anything to make you comfortable during a hot day.
